Mission Accomplished!

I've been on a quest. In five degree weather.

I needed the perfect artificial tree and refused to pay more than eighty bucks for it.

On a whim, Sparkycus and I traipsed to Home Depot last night and ... there ... it ... was. Seven and half feet of Franklin (Fake) Fir. I had Spartucus drag out the decoration boxes from the garage last night and while he & his friends played card games and offered opinions, the boy child and I set 'er up. We got the tree up ... turns out it's one of those that you put each individual branch in. Whoops. In any case, it's up and looks pretty good. I'll finish decorating tonight or tomorrow and post a picture.

No development on the microwave front as of noon today, so I went out and bought one. God bless Chez Target! Seventy-four bucks for 1.2 cubic feet of nuking goodness at some ridiculous wattage. Heaven!

We're heading over to Troy & Chanda's for lasagna. Man, I love those guys.

'Am posting a picture of Spartacus and Bob. This is Bob's ususal place, right on top of Daddy's shoulders. (note: the wall color has since changed from the "smoked on white" that adorned the entire house when we bought it to a blue Spartacus picked out.)
